National and International Public Tender GPM No. 01/2025: Expansion of the Perito Moreno Gas Pipeline
Energía Argentina S.A., with the support of the National Government, announces the launch of National and International Public Tender GPM No. 01/2025 for the execution and financing of the expansion works of Section I of the Perito Francisco Pascasio Moreno Gas Pipeline (GPM), including the operation and maintenance service.
This project represents the first private initiative within Argentina's natural gas transportation system, aiming to increase the operational capacity of the gas pipeline by 14 million cubic meters per day. The pipeline currently transports 26 million cubic meters per day from Vaca Muerta (Neuquén) to the Province of Buenos Aires.
Project Scope

Construction of new compressor plants and upgrades to existing facilities.

A 15-year capacity reservation contract with the awarded company.

Upon expiration, the newly built infrastructure will be transferred to the National Government.
Declared a public interest initiative, this key infrastructure project will:

Accelerate the development of Vaca Muerta.

Generate significant fiscal savings.

Provide benefits for Argentina’s trade balance.
