This certificate is issued by Argentina's Registro Nacional de Reincidencia at the request of the interested party to complete local procedures (e.g., to be presented to the Canadian immigration authority or a foreign consulate).
Steps to request the Certificate:
a) Go to the link https://www.dnrec.jus.gov.ar/InicioTramite/default.aspx, choose the Consulate General in Vancouver, and complete the requested fields.*
* Please read the following information carefully to fill out the form correctly:
- To initiate the process, you must select the country: Canada.
- In the "DOCUMENT" box, enter the valid Identity Document or Passport with which you will present yourself at the consulate to complete the process.
- In the "NAME AND SURNAME" boxes, enter only one name/surname per field.
- In the "ADDRESS" box, enter your address within the jurisdiction of this consulate. DO NOT enter the postal code in the CP field (you can include it at the end of the "street" field). In the postal code field, you can write: "1111."
- For those applying for permanent residence in Canada, it is suggested to visit the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website. On that site, it is indicated that you should request this certificate of criminal records, specifically mentioning "con excepción al artículo 51 del Código Penal". Those who require the insertion of this mention can do so in the background check request form in the box "TO BE PRESENTED TO...".
Once the form is completed in all its fields, you must print the CRIMINAL RECORD REQUEST.
b) Pay through the BAPRO online platform (the option will appear after the Request is generated) the corresponding fee for starting the process. Payment can be made with VISA, MasterCard, or American Express International credit cards, from anywhere in the world and with any cardholder. You must print the payment receipt that you will receive at the email address indicated in the request.
c) Schedule an appointment to personally attend the Consulate through the following portal: https://calendly.com/cgvan/certificado-de-antecedentes-penales
